Why I Started Balance In Stillness

I didn’t find meditation during some peaceful moment—I found it in the middle of feeling completely overwhelmed.

A few years back, I was caught up in the usual cycle: long days, nonstop stress, and always feeling like I had to be doing more. I wasn’t sleeping well, my mind was always racing, and I couldn’t remember the last time I truly felt calm. One day, while scrolling online trying to “fix” how I was feeling, I stumbled across a short guided meditation. I didn’t think much of it, but I gave it a try.

Those few minutes changed everything. It was the first time I paused long enough to breathe. That tiny bit of stillness stuck with me—and I kept coming back to it.

That’s how my journey with mindfulness began. I started learning how to slow down, tune in, and be present with myself without judgment. It wasn’t perfect (and still isn’t), but over time, things started shifting. I was calmer, more focused, and more aware of how I reacted to life’s ups and downs. Meditation helped me find a balance I didn’t know I needed.

Now, I’m passionate about sharing that same peace with others. I created Balance In Stillness to help people realize that mindfulness doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. You don’t need fancy gear or hours of free time—you just need a willingness to pause.
